The Town is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of this historic vote with a public reception at Town Hall on Nov. 13. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop by beginning at 5 p.m. for refreshments, informational displays, 30th Anniversary merchandise, presentations by the mayor and other dignitaries, and a drawing for an anniversary prize pack sponsored by our Support Apple Valley Events (S.A.V.E.) Campaign contributors.
“We are looking forward to sharing and celebrating our history with the public,” said Apple Valley Mayor Art Bishop. “We’ll give a nod to our historic beginnings, but mainly focus on the efforts we’ve made in the last three decades to make a better way of life for our residents by controlling our own destiny at a local level.”
The reception will precede the Town’s regularly scheduled council meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Town Hall is located at 14955 Dale Evans Parkway. Visit www.AppleValley.org for more information.
