Apple Valley to participate in county’s Free Dog Services Day

 

Apple Valley, CA – February 5, 2019: Apple Valley Animal Services is one of nine agencies scheduled to offer free dog services this week as part of a collaborative effort by San Bernardino County Animal Services to promote pet owner responsibility.

 

The Town will offer free microchip services and rabies vaccinations from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 6 for all dogs being licensed for the first time. Additionally, low-cost vaccinations will be offered at the shelter’s regular bi-monthly clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. at the shelter located at 22131 Powhatan Road.

 

Services offered will include same-day licensing for pets of Apple Valley or unincorporated county area residents, rabies vaccinations for $6, Bordetella vaccinations for $10, the DH2PP (7-in-1) vaccination for $15 and microchip services for $20. Cash only please. 

 

The following agencies will hold clinics on Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. until Noon: Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA, Yucca Valley Animal Shelter, Rancho Cucamonga Animal Services, Redlands Animal Control, Barstow Humane Society, Hesperia Animal Services, Upland Animal Services, and San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control.

 

“This is a great opportunity and we are so excited to partner with other agencies to help dog owners all across San Bernardino County.  Keeping pets healthy and with their owners is critical to our goals,” explained Bill Harford, President/CEO of the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA.  This is a collaborative effort of all agencies listed, to expand animal welfare services to pets and people in the largest geographical county in the continental United States.
