The High Desert Corridor project is a new freeway/expressway extending from State Route 14 in the Palmdale Lancaster area to Las Vegas via the 15 Freeway, and continuing on to connect with Highway 18 in eastern Apple Valley. The segment from I-395 to Highway 18 has been identified as the first phase.

To address questions and concerns there will be an open community information meeting on October 26 from 4-7 p.m. at the Town Hall Recreation Center. Rather than a formal presentation, members of the public may drop in anytime during those hours. Alternate routes will be illustrated through display boards and the design team for the project will be available for questions.

For more information about the meeting please contact design team leaders Jim Balcom at (909) 387-8240, or Doug Hogue at (909) 387-8245.

The High Desert Corridor/E220 is officially designated as a High Priority Corridor on the National Highway System from Los Angeles to Las Vegas via Palmdale and Victorville. Preliminary engineering and environmental studies are underway.
