The Town of Apple Valley offers an exceptional graffiti removal service town-wide. This free paint-matched removal program eliminates the eyesore of graffiti and preserves the integrity of existing surfaces.
When graffiti is reported, a Code Enforcement Officer is dispatched to the property to confirm the violation. If a waiver from the property owner is already on file with the Division permitting the contractor to enter the property, the graffiti will be removed without charge. If a waiver is not on file, a form will be sent to the property owner with a request that it be signed and returned to the Division.
If the property prefers not to sign a waiver, the graffiti will be treated as a normal Code Enforcement violation, and the property owner will be required to remove the graffiti within a specified time frame.
Anyone observing graffiti in progress should immediately call 911. If possible, provide the police with a description of the participants, vehicle description, if any, and license plate. Graffiti observed on a property may be reported as any other violation to the Division at 760-240-7560.
